Activity Framework

The Discovery Activity is a research-based activity developed for children aged 0-3, aiming to guide caregivers to provide high-quality education and care. Through this activity, we strive to guide educarers to provide quality educaring services. It especially emphasises the importance of education and care for children aged 0-3, as the term “educaring” combines “education” and “caring.”

The Discovery Activity employs four strategies to provide quality educaring: “Multi-sensory Experience” encourages caregivers to engage children in diverse sensory explorations; “Play-based Exploration” involves fun and engaging games to encourage exploration and discovery; “Responsive Practices” encourages continuous observation of children’s needs and providing appropriate responses, and “Relationship Building” emphasises the importance of building positive relationships between children and adults. Four adorable characters are specially designed to help everyone remember these four key educaring strategies. Now, let us introduce them to you!

Dodo

Dodo is an explorer. Dodo is full of curiosity about the environment and the people and things around. It likes to explore its surroundings with different senses.

Yoyo

Yoyo loves to search everywhere for fun and interesting things. Yoyo enjoys playing with adults, takes on challenges, tries new games, and explores different ways to play. Yoyo’s learning is particularly effective through play.

Kwan

Kwan loves interacting with others and engages in group activities. Boo communicates through body language or words. These are Boo’s ways of developing relationships and trust with others!
