Jockey Club "Bright Start" Project

Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Jockey Club “Bright Start” Project is organised by Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE).

Our Objectives

The Jockey Club “Bright Start” Project will cover about 80% of early childhood centres in Hong Kong that provide services for newborns to 3-year-olds, benefiting 15 participating Child Care Centres and Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centres, various social service units, parents, and the community members.

This phase of the project encompasses a series of professional support initiatives, including: multidisciplinary support and collaboration, establishing professional learning community, overseas professional exchanges, parent education, community engagement, infrastructure enhancement, and digital platforms to promote the continuous optimization and development of infant and toddler care and education.

Our Partners

We are collaborating with the Pacific Early Childhood Education Research Association (Hong Kong) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong as our professional partners. Through multidisciplinary collaboration, the project provides professional coaching on care and education practices to participating Child Care Centres and further promoting parent education and community involvement to create a supportive environment for the development of infants and toddlers.
