Facilitating Social and Emotional Development in the Infant and Toddler Stage

There is a significant body of research indicating the paramount importance of personal social and emotional skills. These skills directly impact an individual’s self-concept, cognitive development, social abilities, learning efficacy, and employability. Social and emotional development can begin as early as infancy, so parents or caregivers who understand social and emotional development early on can assist children in laying the foundation for a happy, healthy, and balanced personal development.

This seminar will explore with parents or caregivers:

  1. What is an “attachment relationship”?
  2. The significance of attachment relationships and their influence.
  3. How to establish attachment relationships with infants and young children to promote a sense of security and foster social and emotional development.
